To BOW or not to BOW

One of my subscribers mentioned to me that Stuart Wietzman made a pair of shoes that look just like a pair of Payless shoes that we have featured on the Luxaholic mum blog. I had to see it for myself and bring it to you all.

Mind you, this is a $325.00 pair of shoes. And they are bananas! Wietzman have some of the most comfortable shoes you could ever own. They are almost true to size which makes buying online a breeze. And I likey! If you can afford them; well go for it.

But let's get reat! This is a recession and Luxaholics or not, everyone is trying at least to be frugal; to curb their shoe addiction even if it's just a tad. That's why this blog was created. To find you the alternative :)

For all our recessionistas out there; a whopping 35.00 can give you the same look (or close to it) at Payless. I own a pair of those and I must say that they are quite comfortable and stylish.

Let's break it down for a minute. They are both D'orsay style pumps which we like on the blog; the color is to "dye" for; the first shoe is covered with real silk; but the second one is with a silk-like material. Basically, you get what you paid for. Whether you're into bows or flowers well that's up to you. As for me, I would prefer a bow on the first shoe for the cheaper price :) How fantabulux would that be?!

This winter don't fall FLAT on your face in the snow!

This morning I woke up to what most people consider bad weather. To me, it's wintertime it's supposed to snow. I love the snow; especially when I don't have to drive in it! It's all white every where you look and it's a beautiful scenery. Did I tell you that my wedding theme was Winter Wonderland? Unfortunately, it didn't snow and the weather warmed up to 68 degrees in December? Can you believe it? Any way, some divas pulled out their fur coats and made their entrance. hahaha! Well, as the main diva of the day; I wasn't mad at them. I encouraged them to do their thing but you know, this luxaholic can never be outdone!

Ok enough about me. We all know by now that I love the Wintertime. But what about Winter fashion. Today, shoe lovers, I know all Manolo Bhlaniks are hidden in the upper part of the closet and for the big divas with shoe closets (we do have some amongst us!) I know they are in the inner chamber of the house, the sanctuary!

It's time to pull out the Flat knee-high boots. If you don't have one yet; it's not too late. While sliding and almost-falling run to the mall and get a pair asap. Or if you are like me; you may sit behind your Dell and order a nice pair and watch out for that UPS truck while tracking your order online every 2 hours. Yes, that's what I do.

Vested Interest

We can all feel the cold front moving in the eastern part of the country slowly but surely. Although I am originally from the tropics; I love the cold. I love the snow and I love, love, love Winter fashion.

One beautiful trend that seem to reinvent itself over and over is the little vest. There's a vest for everyone in the family even the infants and our furry little friends. Another great aspect of the vest is that you can wear it pretty much all year long! Isn't that fabulous or what?!

I have found some ridiculouly luxurious vests for your guys. Some of my wealthy divas will probably want at least a few in their closets but for the rest of us; well, you know I got your backs :)
